What is a Smart Meter?
Smart Flowmeters are meters that are capable of transferring data accurately without human intervention (AMR – Automatic Meter Reading). These Battery-powered Flowmeters are IoT enabled so that the metering data can be logged and stored remotely without breaching the privacy of customers.

Adept has developed IoT Platform – Smartlit, which is ideal for companies using several Flowmeters. Smartlit allows you to retrieve data on water consumption from Flowmeters installed at remote sites, that too, from the comfort of a centralised control room.
The mode of communication can be wired (Ethernet) or wireless (GPRS, NB-IoT, LoRaWAN). The Smartlit IoT Platform is useful for compiling, viewing and printing data. Through the compilation of such data, it is possible to understand the usage pattern and take corrective measures for optimising water usage. A ‘Billing Feature’ has also been implemented to commercialise the water usage.
Smartlit is most useful for process plants such as sugar, fertilisers, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, food & beverages, power plants, cooling towers, ETPs, STPs and WTPs.
